Add a “hereinafter” short form
Warning2Law reviews21st and 22nd editions
A footnote citing two different works by the same author needs a hereinafter short name for one of them, because a “supra” from the author’s last name alone cannot tell the two apart.1
- 1R. 4.2(b) “Hereinafter.”. Tables: R. 4.2(a) “Supra.”; R. 16.9(a) Id.
- 2A warning: the form is usually wrong under the rule in note 1, and context can justify it.
