Remove the opening ellipsis
Warning2Federal courts, Illinois courts21st and 22nd editions
The quotation marks already show that the words are an extract, so no omission is marked at the start; a quotation beginning mid-sentence brackets its first letter instead.1
- 1R. 5.3 Omissions; R. 5.3(b)(i) When using quoted language as a full sentence. Tables: R. 5.2(a) Substitution of letters or words.
- 2A warning: the form is usually wrong under the rule in note 1, and context can justify it.
