A statute cited to a service is dated by the day it was enacted, not by the year alone, unless another part of the citation already gives that day.1
- 1R. 19.1(d) Date; R. 19.1 Citation Form for Services. Tables: R. 12.4(a) Name; R. 12.4(e) Year or date.
- 2A warning: the form is usually wrong under the rule in note 1, and context can justify it.
